30 Day Art Challenge, Day 17: Your favorite holiday

There are so many holidays I love, but Halloween holds a special place in my heart. My mom went all out making costumes for my brother and me. She is very creative and her work was always outstanding. I try to cobble together costumes for my kids each year, with varying degrees of success. Someday I hope to be as good as my mom!

This was my 2013 costume. I ran into two teenage girls dressed as Daleks while taking my kids trick or treating. They squealed and said I was cool. A man gave me a full sized Butterfinger! Being the TARDIS gives you some serious street cred.
